Why we need dreams

Hey people! Don't really know where I last left off, but as you can imagine many things have changed (maybe just slightly, but nothing is ever the same as it was!). I'm both pleased and a little ashamed to say I'm on holidays. It's good to finally get a rest from all that studying (finally completed my basic education, now all that's left is uni, after the oncoming gap year -- which I can assure you WILL be awesome). Ashamed because I sorta need some errr funding for the year to come... My most recent plan is to get far far far away from the old town and get me some new experiences - otherwise what really is the point of a gap year??? I did hand out some CVs this afternoon... And about time, I should say. It's the first real effort I've done all summer. And I am in fact starting to get tired of doing absolutely nothing all day long. The heat makes it unbearable to move. Unless there's a need for it, of course. The only moment of the day when I actually do decide to get off my arse is in the evening - and that usually involves either going out and getting fuu-uuuucked or skating. So also getting fucked. To sum it up, the nighttime activity gets me tired enough to justify not moving at all the next day. So as you can see, my life has sorta become a routine... Which is exactly what I don't want. So another reason for a job! If life should be monotonous, I'd much rather be paid for it... Ya know what I mean, buds? Anyway, enough about doing nothing and needing a job... My other news is the fact that I can now ollie (YAAAAY! Took ages and needs much improvement, but it's getting there), that I'm learning the skills of photography -step by step- and ummmm.. I guess not much else. But on the whole I must say I am happy! I think part of it is the feeling you get when you anticipate some good change in your life... That's almost better than already having something good in your life.... Something to wish for :) It's what kept me going all those months of dullness and study. Also been meeting cool new people who will make me remember this summer gladly! Anyway, can't think of much else to write about right now, I just kinda thought it was about time I did :P As tradition will have it, I'm giving yall a song to listen to... One of my new favourite Stones song (yep, been digging around recently, found some real gems I'd never even heard of!) So love to all, enjoy the song, and most importantly, ENJOY LIFE! Peace. x

A little wind, but not at all cold!

I can feel spring around me already. Sure, it's technically still almost 3 weeks before we officially leave winter behind, but it feels like it's over already in Barcelona. The sun outside, optimistic, shining til oblivion. It feels like it will never leave us, filling the days with warmth, pleasure and joy. The streets outside are filled with laughter, children playing, chasing each other. Birds chirping. And the fact that love seems to be blooming everywhere I look... Oh yes, spring has definitely arrived!

And the exams for this term are finally over. Some better than others, but it was a great end to them, left me feeling great. Even though I barely slept last night cause of the work and the fact that I procrastinated to the very last minute I'm feeling fulfilled and most hyperactive.
Weekend is here, with lots to look forward to... meeting up with old friends, then another friend tomorrow maybe and another next week ;) Seems like march is blessed, leaving behind the cold and solemn winter only to fill its gap with nothing less than the best there is to offer :) Sunday I'm going back to the beach, just like last week... Feeling the craze for volleyball again, all of a sudden. And it just gets better and better! Anyway, I'm off and I'm leaving you a song I've only just heard today that just adds to my happiness. It expresses exactly how I feel right now: not a care in the world! Love yaaaa

February

Hey guys! Quick update:
After some school stress and some relaxing this week it's been my decision to start working out, and get rid of all that Christmas flab :)
Winter has finally arrived in Spain, as february is the coldest time of year here. And despite it not feeling at all like winter for the rest of the time, it's been pretty fucking goddamned cold (and we had some snow! though it didn't stay on the ground...). I was also sick with the flu for over a week, which really sucked. Plus the doctor told me to take it easy and avoid sweating, which, combined with the fact that right now it's so cold i barely want to leave the house, means i've not been skateboarding in over 2 and a half weeks. Should get to it soon. But anyways, I've been working out, as i said, because i've been missing my volleyball days and I want to be in shape for when it gets warm enough to play at the beach, now that i have someone to play with! Should be fun.
Lastly, I want to leave you with a band i just discovered via twitter called Dog Is Dead -you might've heard of them already- which i, personally, think is very good. Something about them reminds me of Trophy Wife, Mystery Jets and maybe something of TDCC too, at least in their song called "Glockenspiel Song". So basically, great stuff! I highly recommend them. So here's one of their hits, which i consider fitting on this calm and fucking cold morning.
See you soon. Love x

New year

New year, apparently. And yet not much is new... Just a lot of things that have happened before in some way or other.
Had to spend the whole of the second week of the year working my ass off. Why? Various reasons. The first is that teachers are huge assholes who have nothing better to do than make sure we don't have too much fun. Second reason is i left everything til the very last minute. Not that i wanted the thrill of the stress working its way up to my head and driving me crazy, i just didn't have any time. We got off school two days before christmas, and had exams and work just before too. So by the time i was on holidays i'd done absolutely none of my christmas shopping. So i did that the first chance i got: as soon as i was on holidays. Then it was christmas, of course. I went to a village with my family for a few days and then got back to Barcelona. But i couldn't do any work then either cause i had to plan a trip. NORWAY!!! :D I spent 5 days there, including New year's! Not as cold as i'd expected, so when i got on the plane i found the other passengers were staring at me, judging me for wearing too much. Oh well! So obviously, no work was done then either. And then... in the week between my arrival in Barcelona and my going back to school on the 9th i did nothing. Which i guess doesn't really have an excuse :P
Other news is my FINALLY learning to ollie (just managed to do it well a couple of times, still working on it!) thanks to a friend who's helping me :)
oh yeah, and ma babe is back! SO PSYCHED :D
And now i'ma skate my ass off and keep working on my ollie.

Also, i've become addicted to the Dire Straits recently, just cause it's how i'm feeling atm
So here we go! Love love, take care. XX
